Anti-doping

The Ukrainian Savate Boxe Française Federation supports the principles of clean sport and complies with the requirements of the WADA World Anti-Doping Code and the anti-doping rules of the National Anti-Doping Center of Ukraine (NADC).


Anti-doping

1. Purpose and Scope

The Federation’s anti-doping policy aims to:

  • protect athletes’ health

  • ensure fair athletic competition

  • compliance with national and international anti-doping rules

This section applies to:

  • athletes participating in competitions and events under the auspices of the Federation

  • athletes in the out-of-competition period, if provided by the rules

  • athlete support personnel, including coaches, doctors, physiotherapists, managers, and other persons involved in preparation or medical support


2. Regulatory Framework and Key Documents

2.1. World Anti-Doping Code (WADA Code)

The primary international document defining the principles and standards of the anti-doping system in sport.

2.3. WADA Prohibited List 2026

The Prohibited List is updated annually. The 2026 edition is effective from January 1, 2026.

3. International Level: FISav and ITA

FISav (Fédération Internationale de Savate) is the international governing body for Savate.

The FISav anti-doping program is implemented in cooperation with the International Testing Agency (ITA).

During international competitions under FISav auspices, international anti-doping requirements apply to athletes in accordance with the WADA Code and ITA rules.


4. Principles of Anti-Doping

4.1. Strict Liability of the Athlete

The athlete is responsible for any substances and methods that enter their body, regardless of intent or source.

4.2. Cooperation with Anti-Doping Authorities

Athletes and athlete support personnel are obliged to:

  • cooperate with the doping control procedure

  • not obstruct testing

  • provide accurate information regarding treatment and medication use


5. Prohibited Substances and Methods

The WADA Prohibited List includes:

  • substances and methods prohibited at all times

  • substances prohibited in-competition

  • particular categories of substances

The current version of the list must be checked annually.

Medications and Supplements

Before using any medications or supplements, it is necessary to:

  • check the composition against the Prohibited List

  • consult a doctor

  • take into account risks associated with supplements and potential contamination


6. TUE – Therapeutic Use Exemptions

If an athlete requires a prohibited substance or method for medical reasons, they may need a TUE.

The procedure is governed by the NADC Anti-Doping Rules.

7. Doping Control and Testing

Doping control in Ukraine is carried out in accordance with NADC rules.

Testing can be conducted:

  • in-competition

  • out-of-competition

The athlete’s rights and responsibilities, as well as the sample collection procedure, are defined in NADC rules.

8. Anti-Doping Rule Violations and Consequences

Violations may include:

  • presence of a prohibited substance in a sample

  • refusing or evading testing

  • tampering or attempted tampering

  • possession or trafficking of prohibited substances

  • complicity or attempted complicity

Consequences may include:

  • disqualification of results

  • ineligibility (ban from sport)

  • other sanctions in accordance with the rules
