Modern practice

From the first training sessions in Odesa in the early 90s, Savate has gone all the way to becoming a separate sports community with its own history, coaches, athletes, and victories.

The Federation develops French boxing Savate through training, competitions, preparation of athletes, and work with children and youth. This is a sport about discipline, respect, self-confidence, and striving for victory.

Savate in Ukraine

French boxing SAVATE began its development in Ukraine from Odesa in the early 90s of the last century. This became possible thanks to the efforts of a great enthusiast of this martial art, in the past an excellent fighter, holder of the “Silver Glove” level and the title of Professor of French Boxing SAVATE Gennadiy Volovikov. Despite certain difficulties, he was able to create and register the “Savate” sports club in 1992, which gave an impetus to the development of SAVATE in the city. Suffice it to say that almost all members of the Ukrainian national team in French boxing trained in this club.

Savate is a courageous, noble sport that strengthens self-belief, emotional control, and respect for others.

By working with children and adolescents, the Federation contributes to the national social program.

Only someone for whom the perfection of their soul and body is a lifelong pursuit can become a School instructor.

The Savate Boxing Federation unites in its ranks champions and medalists of the World and European Championships.
